By air: ✈️ By Air: The nearest airport is Shimla Airport (Jubbarhatti), approximately 235–260 km from Reckong Peo. From the airport, taxis are available to reach Reckong Peo via Rampur and scenic Himalayan roads.
By train: 🚆 By Train: Reckong Peo has no direct railway connectivity. The nearest railway station is Shimla (approximately 235 km away), while Kalka is the nearest broad-gauge railhead. From either station, taxis and buses are available to reach Reckong Peo.
By bus: 🚌 By Bus: Reckong Peo is well connected by regular HRTC bus services from Shimla, Rampur, Chandigarh and Delhi. Buses operate through scenic Himalayan routes via Narkanda and Rampur, offering a beautiful journey through the mountains. Private taxis and buses are also available.
By road: 🚗 By Road: Reckong Peo is approximately 235 km from Shimla and is accessible via the scenic Hindustan-Tibet Road (NH-5). The route passes through Theog, Narkanda, Rampur, Jeori and Powari, offering breathtaking views of the Sutlej River and surrounding Himalayan mountains.
